We all have been in the situation wherein we have procrastinated endlessly. Procrastination hinders the lifestyle you wish for. Yet, we continue to procrastinate.

In order to get out of the rut, we need to understand the hidden motive behind this!. One may feel that it is hard to get out of this rut.

Fortunately, you can get of this rut and become the best version of yourself.

The ways through which you can stop procrastination are elaborated as follows:

  1. Method 1: “2 MINUTE RULE”:

This rule was introduced by David Allen in his famous best-selling book “Getting Things Done”. I have started using this rule lately and it has really helped me a lot.

The main motive behind this rule is to help you get started.

The rule states that “If it takes less than two minutes, then do it now.” Start focusing on minor tasks that can be done within 2 minutes.

If you want to be a reader, read at least one page. If you want to become a great writer, write at least one page.

Simplifying your tasks and getting them done will help you feel optimistic and at the same time help you get closer to your goal.

2. Method 2: STOP BEING A PERFECTIONIST:

Stop being hard on yourself. The fear that your art isn’t as perfect as it should be, will ruin you.

Get out of your zone and JUST DO IT (incorporate Nike’s slogan in your life). You are capable of doing wonders. You need to discipline yourself.

3. Method 3: CHANGE YOUR BELIEFS

Hang out with people who are more successful than you. You need to surround yourself with people who are action-oriented.

You’ll definitely see a change in your beliefs. Follow people who have everything you aspire for. Read books. Have a growth mindset.
